Christopher Daly is an assistant professor in Oregon State University's Department of Geosciences. He co-directs OSU's Spatial Climate Analysis Service, a world leader in spatial climate research and analysis.

Dr. Daly has had a wide-ranging, 20-year career in meteorology, climatology, geography, and terrestrial ecology. Since joining Oregon State University in 1990, Dr. Daly has led many climate mapping projects funded by the USDA-NRCS, NOAA, NASA, NCDC, USDA-ARS, and others. His work at OSU has included the development of the PRISM spatial climate analysis system, the MAPSS-Watershed biogeographical model, and the MC1 dynamic global vegetation model.

Prior to joining OSU, Dr. Daly worked as a senior scientist specializing in air quality modeling for Systems Applications International, and as a marine meteorologist for Oceanroutes, Inc.
